Step mashed beers from Perthshire
Brewed in very small batches at our Abernyte brewery.
The conversion of malt starches to fermentable sugars during the beer making process is complex. We increase the temperature of the mash through a series of rests, in a way that allows us to modify the way the finished beer tastes and feels on the palate.
A classification blurring style taking the crispness of a pilsner, with added bitterness and a grapefruit aroma from American Chinook hops in the cold maturation tank.
A New England Session Pale full of citrus peel flavours, full bodied and infinitely quaffable, with cloudiness from a short boil time and late hop additions.
A proper IPA with soft malt structure overlain with peach and grapefruit aromas, using Citra hops from the USA and Rakau hops from NZ.
A copper coloured lager brewed slow and cold in the Bavarian style, with a toasted malty profile and a hint of toffee. Autumn release only.
A no-nonsense double hopped American style pale ale, honey-ruby coloured, using 5 types of malt to carry grapefruit and peach hop aromas.
A powerfully malty, approaching-sweet lager matured for over 9 months, delightfully smooth with a bit of a punch. Winter release.

We only use time to clarify and condition our beer. It is unfiltered and vegan friendly.
